Still, carnival, festival, holiday — not the same thing.

Closest in meaning to the word “holiday” is “festival”. However, the full synonyms, these words are not. The holiday expresses a broader concept.

The festival is a massive celebration, festival. But it is also a display of any achievements in the arts.
